This piece of vintage jewellery is very pretty.
Crafted from moulded beads with decorative brass ends the secures with a simple brass bolt ring closure. The main beads are citrine in colour in natural light.
It would have been crafted in Czechoslovakia or Austria in the first half of the 20th Century, c.1930.
The necklace is quite lovely when viewed in normal light but when viewed under UV light it is spectacular. The citrine glass was coloured with uranium and therefore it glows vividly under UV light.
The strand measures 450mm long. The larger beads are 20mm long and the elongated beads are 30mm long. The little beads at the ends are 4mm round. The beads are threaded on a sturdy thread, is still strong and shows no weakness.
