Product Description

This is a lovely piece of Royal Copenhagen china.

The lidded serving dish is in the design called Blue Flowers Braided produced by Royal Copenhagen. The pattern was first released in the late 1700's and quickly became very popular as the design was crisp and clean with the beautiful blue on white not seen on other European porcelain at that time. Today the design is still completely hand painted an no two pieces are alike.

The shape over design number to the underside of the base is 8054/10. The design has a basket weave pattern to the edges hence 'braided' in the name. The lid has a large blue bud as the knob and the handles are prettily fluted. It is an early piece dating to the period 1898-1923 and is a factory first.

The piece is in stunning condition and has no faults.

The lidded bowl measures approximately 245mm long x 170mm wide and 180mm tall.
