This lovely cupboard is in very good condition.

The piece was made in Denmark from oak and features an ornate carving to the front depicting the Greenman. The Greenman is an ancient motif often seen in antique Scandinavian pieces and represents rebirth new growth and is associated with spring. If you look closely you will see the motif is made from leaves.

There is a cupboard elevated above a shelf. The cupboard is supported with sturdy barley twist columns to the front. Insie the cupboard there are supports for shelves however the shelves are no longer present but some could be easily installed.

The oak is a dark well patinated colour and as such a dark ring tot he top  has been left. To remove the ring sanding or bleaching would be necessary and this would change the colour of the oak to a golden hue completely removing the patina that age has given this piece. We have left it as is and nourished the piece with wax.

The cupboard is 1180mm tall x 375mm deep x 585mm wide.
