This antique locket is beautifully made from brass and as such was made as a much cheaper option than gold.
The front is ornately decorated with a Lily of the Valley motif. The locket opens to reveal an antique photo behind a small oval of glass. The photo is a thin metal like substance.
There are dark marks to the brass and the back shows a tiny indent. The locket closes securely but it can be seen the edges are a little uneven in height. This does not affect the closure.
The bake is large and the hinge firm.
The original accompanying chain is also brass and has pretty detail to the links.
The chain closes with an antique gold plated dog clip clasp. It does not swivel.
The locket is 32mm x 28mm x 8mm thick not including the bale. The bale adds another 13mm in length.
The chain is 420mm in length.
We have a good selection of vintage and antique jewellery in store.
