This beautiful piece was designed for Michael Andersen and Sons pottery Bornholm Denmark.
The figurine is in the form of a young angel. In his arms is a bowl which forms a candle holder. The glaze is a semi transparent tin glaze which has flowed over the design allowing the clay base to grin through. This highlights the features creating a very pleasing effect.
The underside of the base is well stamped with the three herring mark of Michael Andersen and Sons, Bornholm, Denmark. The glaze has crazed with a crackle effect. There are no chips ro cracks to the piece. There is no damage.
The figurine is 155mm tall.
