Vintage 6 Person Royal Copenhagen Faience 'Nils' Tea Set w/ teapot -In Store Now

 This beautiful setting for 6 people is in lovely condition. The set is in the design called Nils and was designed by Nils Thorsson for Royal Copenhagen Faience (Art Pottery). These particular pieces are marked with the beehive mark for Royal Copenhagen Faience ware and date to the the late 1950's and early 1960's.

The pattern is in a two tone soft sage green design with deeper rims and internals to the cups. The handles are quite pretty with a scalloped design and each piece has a delightful stylised hand painted pattern.

The set comprises a tea pot with lid, 6 cups, 6 saucers, 6 bread and butter plates, a sugar bowl with lid, and a cake plate,

There is a small amount of crazing to the teapot with some staining as shown.

The cups are 65mm tall and measure 75mm across the rims. The teapot would hold 3-4 cups.
