This beautiful brooch is in the form of a large bow and designed in sterling silver and set with sparkling marcasites. It is an Australian piece produced by Lega, Melbourne, makers of fine marcasite sterling silver jewellery from around 1948.
The brooch is marked to the back STG SIL Lega and has a roll over locking type clasp.
The silver brooch has good patina and presents beautifully. There are no missing stones.
The brooch is large and measures 75mm x 28mm.
