Antique Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Lamp with Rhododendron Flowers 845-1099

This lovely lamp is most likely one of a kind in this world.

Converted from a beautiful vase to a stunning lamp in the first part of the 20th Century, the base is a Royal Copenhagen Porcelain vase featuring a beautifully graduated blue background with hand painted Rhododendron blooms in blue with muted grey green foliage. The shape and pattern numbers are 845/1099.

The piece is marked to the base with the backstamp for items made pre 1923 and has the painter's number of 95.

Complete with shade the lamp stands 55cm tall and the porcelain portion of the base stands 26cm tall.

The lamp is in excellent condition and has no chips, cracks or repairs. It has been fully rewired with a duel insulated white power cord and retains its original danish lamp holder and shade suspension. The shade that comes with it is a beautiful vintage Danish shade that fits on the halo shade suspension. It is made from a thin opaque plastic covered with a finely woven white fabric. It is in very good condition. You cannot use commercially available Australian style shades on this lamp.

The electrical wiring and fittings have been tested and the piece has been tagged by an electrician.
