The pretty design is called Eranthus which translates as Buttercup. The design features pretty yellow buttercups contrasting with the green of the stems and leaves on a white background. The self pattern is based on the distinctive seahorse and scale trim pattern first designed by Fanny Garde on her famous sea gull dinner setting. In this case all outlined in gold. The base pattern was used on many dinner set designs.
The setting is large and comprises 8 dinner plates, 8 entree plates, 8 bread and butter plates, 8 large soup bowls, 8 regular bowls, 8 cups, 8 saucers, sandwich plate, 2 x large oval meat platters, butter pat, small milk jug, open sugar bowl, vase, gravy boat, sauce jug, covered vegetable dish, 2 large serving bowls, cake plate, tooth pick holder, coffee pot, candle holder, salt and pepper shakers and various other small serving pieces totalling at least 100 pieces.
Please note the set is shown in a mirror back cupboard which reflects back the pieces. There is only one toureen and only one coffee pot and large gravy boat.
There is no damage to the pieces. The gold trim is in tact and all the designs are clear.
